Henry Kay

Henry Kay has recently retired as Group Vice President of New Market Development / Strategic Planning, Endosurgery Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC). Henry's Group was responsible for the strategic plan and supplementing internal R&D through identification and assessment of external investment and acquisition opportunities. Henry held several senior positions at BSC, including VP International Marketing for Medi-tech and Meadox. .

Prior to joining BSC, Henry was based in the UK for five years as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing for Allergan Europe, a global eye care company

He has 35 years of experience in the medical industry in roles which include R&D, International Marketing, Regulatory Affairs, Strategic Planning for major pharmaceutical companies, including Schering-Plough and American Home Products.

Henry is a fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine (UK). He serves on the Boards of several start up health care companies, including Smart Cells, Eric Technologies, Cool Systems, Myomo, Wadsworth Medical and Cannuflow. He is a mentor with the Venture Mentoring Service of MIT. He is a member of the Forefront Committee of the Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research. He is an active member of the Research Advisory Committee of the Board of Directors of Beth Israel-Deaconess Hospital. Henry also serves with the Boston Haifa Life Sciences Connection that assists and mentors Haifa based Healthcare companies. Henry is an active member of the Boston Harbor Angels.

Henry holds Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Chemistry from Rutgers University, and an MBA in International Marketing from Seton Hall University.. Henry is the immediate past President of Temple Beth Elohim in Wellesley, Massachusetts. Henry and his wife Laurie have one grown daughter and reside in Weston, Massachusetts.
